Explore Your Personal Feel-Good Nurture Space
Face it, we’re all different. Nurturing and comfort mean different things to different people.
I personally love to relax either in a nicely scented bath, a sauna, or curl up on the sofa with a non work related book, enjoy the treat to peacefully sleep, or just doze in a warm sunlit garden cove with my eyes closed and listen to the delightful bird twitter. My list goes on. Oh yea, music, particularly Baroque ... and art, painting ....
However I know ladies who feel nurtured by a good run, an invigorating swim, or a good threshing about on the tennis court.
Others like cooking, baking or gardening.
What is it that causes you to flip the inner switch so that you can relax, inhale and feel utterly nurtured?
If you’re not 100 percent sure, close your eyes and start reminiscing of moments in the past which evoked that heartfelt feel good factor. Or stroll through some glossy magazines and let your imagination be inspired.
If you don’t have a Fuzzy Warm Nurturing Book, maybe now is the time to get one. Then add all your various ideas into it, either by writing, or cutting out pictures/images, or grab a box of crayons and draw them.
Why bother about a Fuzzy Warm Nurturing Book? Trust me, when you feel exhausted and frazzled you can’t even think what you might like. That’s the time when you’ll glean from your spirit, from your own inner voice you had previously given expression to in your book. It’s like the Inner Lover in you takes your hand and leads you to your specific nurture comfort space, exactly the right one you’ll need at that moment.
Whilst we’re at it, also note down ever single nice comment that whosoever gives you. Write down encouraging Scripture verses that uplifts your heart with thankfulness and joy. You’ll be grateful for that when the moment hits you when you are convinced that nobody loves you or even cares!
There’s another thing to remember: usually we women enjoy sexual intimate times with our beloved far more when we feel good, when our world is ok, we feel nurtured and understood. Typically, we want to rely on our partners to make us feel that way, but here’s a tip, you can prepare the way for your bliss by mentally going into your nurturing space, moments before.
