The Power of a Dream burning with Passion and Unwavering Faith

I just needed to share a clip from "August Rush" a most inspiring movie.

Do you have a dream that is bigger than yourself burning within you? When pressures and negative people tempt us from straying from our passion it's good to remind ourselves about ’staying the course’.

Fashion and Style ... that was

The YouTube user 'Rosebudgarden' who compiled these videos, had this to say:

"Glorious, stunning fashion shots mostly from the 40s & 50s. The 40s colour photographs are a revelation - I could spend the rest of my days just looking at them. It's an unreality that gives me the impression that complete female emancipation is through total femininity, and that's just what these images are designed to do - to remind women of the primal urge and liberating feeling of being beautiful. A cynical ploy to keep women in chains? If so, then it's an exquisite slavery from which women are disinclined to be free."

The elegant 1950's. Below is a picture of my mother and I towards the end of the 50's

Would you wish for the elegant era to grace women's bodies again, or do you have reservations re what it all represented? Does the idea of feminine gracefulness conjure up notions of 'The Stepford Wives' to you? As it so happened, my own mother was a very successful and highly qualified pharmacist.

Would be interested to know your thoughts.

Smootch and have a fun time with your man ... it's good for the kids!

Good news for parents who are cash-strapped in this economy: Date night is not mandatory for a good relationship.

"I've never been able to do date night. By the time it gets to be evening, the last thing I want to do is go out in the cold or rain, pay another baby sitter," ... I heard someone say who approached me on the subject.

Connecting doesn't have to be huge, expensive or time-consuming. Make your marriage sweet and memorable in the littlest moments every day.

Explore Your Personal Feel-Good Nurture Space

What does it mean to You to nurture yourself?

Face it, we’re all different. Nurturing and comfort mean different things to different people.

I personally love to relax either in a nicely scented bath, a sauna, or curl up on the sofa with a non work related book, enjoy the treat to peacefully sleep, or just doze in a warm sunlit garden cove with my eyes closed and listen to the delightful bird twitter. My list goes on. Oh yea, music, particularly Baroque ... and art, painting ....

However I know ladies who feel nurtured by a good run, an invigorating swim, or a good threshing about on the tennis court.

Others like cooking, baking or gardening.

What is it that causes you to flip the inner switch so that you can relax, inhale and feel utterly nurtured?

For those of you who have experienced heartbreak and loss ... can you say, "Thank you!" ?

I am feeling inspired to share with you a song by Sinéad O'Connor. If you have lived long enough on this planet earth you will have had opportunities to experience devastating heartbreaks, deep reaching loss; you may have had a relationship or a marriage breakup with your fondest dreams scattered like ashes.....

There is a time for grieving and a time to look back and find the strength to say "thank you!" about the situation or to the person that caused you joy and pain ... "Thank you for the good" and "thank you for breaking my heart" because you now have become stronger.

"Life breaks all of us, but some of us are strong in the broken places." — Ernest Hemingway ... “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
